Cell Phone/Electronics

CELL PHONES & ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Electronic devices, including but not limited to cellular phones, SMART watches, iPods, tablets, etc. are not to be accessed and/or used during school hours.

1st Offense:
Device taken away, student to pick up device from Security after school.

2nd Offense: 
Device taken away, student counseled, parent to pick up device from Security after school.

3rd Offense: 
Device taken away, student counseled, parent to pick up device from Security after school, 
school level consequences.


Kaimuki Middle School is not responsible for the theft, loss or damage 
of any cell phone or electronic device.




Cell Phones
  • Cell phones are not permitted for use during school hours.
  • Phones must be turned off during school hours.
  • Phones may only be used BEFORE and AFTER school to contact a parent/guardian.

 Cell phones may be confiscated during school hours if:


  • Phone rings.
  • Student is observed using phone to call, text, take pictures, etc.
NOTE: All confiscated phones are turned in to and held by KMS Security.




Electronic Devices

  • Electronic devices (iPods, tablets, etc.) are not permitted on campus, unless student has received pre-approval/permission from a KMS faculty/staff member.
  • Parents/Guardians are asked to encourage their child(ren) to leave ALL electronic devices at home. If a device is brought to school, the device must be kept in student's backpack while on campus. 

Electronic devices may be confiscated before/during/after school if: 


  • Device is being utilized, without permission, while student is on campus.
NOTE: All confiscated devices are turned in to and held by KMS Security.
